Dr. Lynn Friedman is a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst in full time, private practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland. She provides evaluation, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and referral. Typically, people consult her about the following concerns:

Beyond her practice, she provides consultation and clinical supervision, both to experienced clinicians and professionals-in-training. Currently, she teaches Introduction to Conducting Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Writing to analysts-in-training at the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute. Since 1999, she has taught at Johns Hopkins University, in the clinical-counseling and the organizational-development/HR programs. Before moving to Washington, D.C., in 1999, she taught undergraduates in psychology and graduate students in management at Carnegie Mellon University and physician-residents in Pittsburgh-area, residency programs (1986-1999).

She is devoted to the practice of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. She has special expertise in work-life consultation. Outside of the clinical arena, she provides organizational consultation to educational and health related non-profits, devoting considerable time to working with heads and trustees in independent schools
