The Washington Psychoanalyst

A portal of information on Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis for the intelligent consumer (and, mental health professionals, too.)

Make an Appointment with Dr. Lynn Friedman

Dr. Lynn Friedman is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in full-time, private practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland, on Wisconsin Avenue, near the Friendship Heights metro.

Dr. Friedman sees patients for evaluation, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and referral. She begins with a consultation to assess the nature of your struggles and to discern what sort of treatment might be most useful. Following evaluation, she provides recommendations for the course of treatment that would be best for you. For people who suspect that psychotherapy or psychoanalysis might be helpful but are uncertain about it, an evaluation is a helpful place to start.

Dr. Friedman reserves some time each week to conduct evaluations. To arrange an evaluation, call (301) 656-9650 and leave your day and evening numbers. She will return your call promptly - generally within 24 hours. Please note, she strictly maintains confidentiality; therefore, to protect your privacy, she does NOT communicate about patient matters over the internet. However, she welcomes your phone calls.

Lynn Friedman, Ph.D., 5480 Wisconsin Avenue, Maryland, 20815, (301) 656-9050.
